A Return
Written in Ink
Born in 1983 into a military family, Mani’s childhood was framed by the evocative power of his father’s war memories — tales of resilience that would later seed his literary imagination.
By the age of fourteen he had produced his first registered work, and at sixteen his writing received formal recognition. He holds several registered screenplays, most of them romantic comedies, though his favorite genre is magical realism, written in a fluid, conversational voice.
His life has been a series of new beginnings: revolutions and social movements in his homeland, migration, and rebuilding a life from scratch in America. For years he set writing aside — until the presence of someone important drew him back to it.
“Writing was never a choice; it was a return to my most authentic self.”
